What is the Medieval Homeschool Faire?

This is a free, community-driven event where homeschool families come together to create a living medieval village.

For one afternoon, the grounds at Red Barn Homeschool will be filled with activities, performances, history displays and hands-on experiences.

This is not just something you attend. It is some thing we build together.

How to Be Part of the Medieval Homeschool Faire

If you've ever been to a Renaissance fair and loved the atmosphere, this is similar but instead of just attending, our families helpful bring it to life.

We are opening this up to all things Middle Ages, and we would love for your family to take part in whatever way fits you best.

Run a Marketplace Booth

Have a child who loves to create? They can sell handmade, medieval-inspired items in our student-run marketplace. This is a great opportunity for kids to share their works and practice real-world skills.

Offer Food or Drinks

If your family wants to create a medieval-inspired snack or drink, we would love to include you in our food area. Simple, create offerings are perfect.

Share What You've Learned

Students are welcome to display something they've learned or created this year. This could be a project, a poster board, or a visual display of a topic they've explored.

Perform or Tell a Story

Have a short skirt, piece of storytelling, music or performance? We would love to include it as part of the day, either on a simply stage or at your booth.

Create a Hands-On Activity

Some of the most memorable parts of the faire will be interactive. If your child wants to run something like knight training, a simple game, or another hands-on experience, we would love to include it.

We are so excited to see the creativity of this community come together to build something immersive and meaningful for our families.

If you are not sure where you fit, start by signing up to participate and we'll help you figure it out!

Be Part of Bringing This to Life

This event is built by our community, for our community.

If you've ever wanted to be part of something meaningful behind the scenes, this is a beautiful way to step in.

We're looking for volunteers to help with simple things like setup, guiding families, supporting activities, and making the day run smoothly.

You don't need experience, just a willingness to jump in where needed.

It's a great way to meet other families, be part of the energy of the day, and help create something special for our kids.
