Learn more about us

Danika and Kelly have been immersed in project-based learning for six years and think it is the best-kept secret in homeschooling! Danika started Bramblewood Learning Community, a project-based homeschool program, in 2020, and is certified in PBL through UPenn. She and Kelly have been mentoring at Bramblewood in addition to helping others start and run homeschool groups. Their favorite thing is helping others build the culture they need to make their vision come to life - whatever their philosophy!

What families are looking for in a homeschool group

PBL is uniquely suited to fit the needs of homeschoolers that parents are hoping to fill, like

  • Hands-on and collaborative projects
  • Opportunities to present and speak
  • Potential for rigorous academics

Learn how you can use elements of PBL in your group to level up what you offer and build the culture you want!

Collaborative learning

Much academic learning can be done at home. At co-op, families are looking for collaboration. PBL teaches vital skills like sharing work, feedback, and project-management

Culture building

Our job is to hold the vision and set the culture for our program. PBL provides the protocols to effectively do that, making our job so much lighter!

The right amount of structure

Give students freedom to create and explore, but with just the right structures so adults know how to help students truly thrive

Every Co-op Needs a Boot Camp

There simply isn't enough time during the day-to-day school year to invest in teambuilding, norm-defining culture building!

A Boot Camp is a special time set aside to devote to all of these things. Set your expectations (better yet, include the kids in setting them!), have some fun, and really shape the tone of your whole year.

Every minute you spend in culture-building at the beginning of the year saves thousands in headache later!
