About the Conference

Hey there, homeschooling families of Bucks and Montgomery Counties!

We're thrilled to invite you to our local homeschool conference – a special day designed with you and your unique educational journey in mind. Whether you're a seasoned homeschooler or just starting out, this is the perfect place to connect, learn, and grow.

What’s Happening?

Workshops: Dive into a variety of workshops led by experienced educators and fellow parents. From innovative teaching methods to tackling common homeschooling challenges, there's something for everyone. We will even have a “mother culture” event where YOU can relax and learn how to watercolor!
Find Your Tribe Mingle Event: This is your chance to find people who live near you, share similar philosophies, and/or have similar-aged kids. We are stronger together - come find your village!
Community Resources: Discover local co-ops, classes, and services that can enhance your homeschooling experience. It’s all about finding the right support and opportunities to enrich your child’s learning journey.
Used Curriculum Sale: Browse and buy from a treasure trove of used homeschooling curriculum materials. It’s the perfect opportunity to snag some great deals while recycling resources within our community. Sign up to be a vendor on the registration page.

Agenda

Throughout the morning, tables will be set up with community resources and a used curriculum sale. See what classes, co-ops, and groups are offered in our area, or sign up to sell your own used books & curriculum! We will also have a “classifieds” style wall, where you can post any specifics you are looking for (“Mom in Feasterville looking for friends for a neurodivergent 10-year-old,” or “ISO folks interested in a nature playgroup for young children in Harleysville”).

Co-op leader mingle: Take this opportunity to socialize with and bounce ideas off of other group leaders - get ideas for dealing with common issues, see what has worked well for others, and find inspiration for next year. Part panel discussion, part group discussion, if you are a co-op/hybrid school leader or are considering starting one, this is a workshop you won’t want to miss!

Homeschooling 101: How do I start homeschooling? Can my child get into college? What’s the difference between Charlotte Mason and Unschooling? How do you have a functional routine with littles? Come to this panel discussion with veteran homeschool moms to hear practical tips on how to not just survive, but thrive in this journey!

Project-based Homeschooling Basics: Imagine a learning experience that goes beyond compartmentalized classes, where kids are not just absorbing information but actively creating, collaborating, and discovering their passions. That's what Project-Based Learning is all about, and we want to show you how it can transform your homeschooling adventure. For parents and co-op teachers.

Mother Culture: Watercolors - One of the greatest ways to inspire our kids is to learn new things ourselves! Do you wish you had some art skills so you could help your kids learn? Come unwind while we practice the art of watercolor painting together.
